Fresh off a tour of Japan, heavy metal alchemists CASTLE have announced the ‘Still Reaping Tour’, a 17 date headlining trek of the U.S. Midwest this March. Newly relocated to the Mojave Desert where writing for a fifth full length is currently underway, CASTLE will be taking a break from conjuring the as-of-yet untitled album, due for release later in the year, to complete the tour - which includes a stop at the second installment of the Minneapolis Menagerie Fest on March 11.

Since the release of their most recent offering Welcome To The Graveyard, issued last summer via Ván Records - CASTLE’s massive 120 date world takeover has included tours of the U.S., Europe, Canada and the bands first ever tour of Japan in December. Welcome To The Graveyard was captured by Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis, Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth, Eyehategod, Ommadon et al) at Type Foundry Studios in Portland, Oregon and is currently available at THIS LOCATION. You can also check out videos for “Down In The Cauldron Bog,” “Flash Of The Pentagram,” and “Hammer And The Cross” below.

Welcome To The Graveyard continues to reap praise from fans and critics alike. Metal Hammer hails the band’s “irrepressible combination of ‘70s doom, NWOBHM, musty-yet-in-your-face production courtesy of famed Neurosis/Melvins producer Billy Anderson, and the smoky, whiskey-stained vocals of Liz Blackwell,” while the Sludgelord notes, “This is fantastic heavy metal of the most traditional kind, forged, I can only assume, in the fires of hell.” Adds Angry Metal Guy, “If you haven’t caught onto CASTLE yet, you’re not taking a thing about your career as a metal fan seriously… Hear this, feel the power and glory and put on the vest!”

CASTLE formed in San Francisco in 2009 and released their debut album In Witch Order on the German label Van Records in 2011. The album brought light to the newly-formed band and earned them “Album of the Year” honors from Metal Hammer Norway, as well as Roadburn Festival’s “Newcomer of the Year.” Shortly after, the band signed with Prosthetic in North America and released their critically acclaimed sophomore album Blacklands, which earned them a Canadian JUNO nomination for “metal/hard music album of the year”. The band supported the release playing over 200 shows worldwide alongside The Sword, Conan, Intronaut and Pentagram amongst others and appearing at some of the undergrounds largest fests including Roadburn and the London and Berlin Desertfests.

2014 saw CASTLE, which consists of Elizabeth Blackwell on Vocals/Bass, Mat Davis on Guitars/Vocals and Al McCartney on Drums, release Under Siege and continue their relentless schedule with multiple tours of the US,  Europe and Canada including stops at the 2015 edition of Heavy Days in Doomtown Fest in Copenhagen and the Acherontic Arts Fest in Oberhausen, Germany.  Their latest album Welcome to the Graveyard was released in July 2016.
